Amanda has been a florist for 12 years and has worked for florist establishments, has been self employed with her own shop, On The Green in Chalfont St. Giles. She originally trained at Jane Packer Flower School in London, went on to work for Jane Packer and qualified as a Florist with a NCFE Certificate. Prior to being a Florist Amanda worked in a number of Marketing roles. Amanda now works from home and also from a Pop-Up business in Chalfont St. Giles as well as teaching and demonstrating. .

Angela Loftus is a Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner and BANT Registered Nutritional Therapist who has been helping women for over 7 years to balance their hormones and achieve optimal health through dietary and lifestyle interventions. Charlotte has over 30 years’ experience in the Lifestyle and Interior Design business and has worked with fabric houses such as Warner Fabrics, Nobilis, Larsen and Ian Sanderson as well as with the designer John Stefanidis. Charlotte has the understanding of how design works to make a room a welcoming, practical, yet elegantly functional space. A growing fascination with the psychology of how the colour of our surroundings affects our moods and emotions has made her determined to ‘toss the taupe’ and encourage everyone to introduce a brighter palette into their lives!

Hayley is a potter working from her log cabin at her home in the Chiltern Hills in Buckinghamshire and has always had a passion for pottery. Each piece of pottery is designed and made by using a range of pottery skills including wheel-thrown, slab-building, coil work, drape forms and sculpting.

Jay Nolan-Latchford – JNL Art
Jay started her artistic journey locally at Amersham College of Art at 16 before completing her Design degree and Printmaking MA in Brighton. She has worked as a freelance artist and also established her own design company which specialised in greetings cards and gift wrap. Her clients included, Harrods, Fortnum and Mason, Selfridges and John Lewis. Ten years ago, Jay was approached by Bucks Adult Learning to teach and she jumped at the chance to train to run art workshops. In her first year she was recognised as an outstanding tutor and has gone on to run hundreds of successful events. Now working independently, she is often invited to demonstrate at art groups and travels all over the south eat sharing her skills. Jay is passionate about art in the community and creativity for well-being, she is on the committee for Mentmore Arts Festival and Bucks Art Weeks.

Jenny Kaye is a photographer based in Beaconsfield, South Buckinghamshire and specialises in family portraits and lifestyle photography. After an early career in business Jenny decided to follow her passion, and studied for a degree in Photography and Digital Imaging. She has also achieved Licenciate qualification with the SWPP (Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers). Julia Parker – Parkers Patch
Julia is passionate about growing fruit and vegetables. After friends giving advice to friends and family Julia ran a couple of morning teaching people how to set up their own vegetable garden and sharing tips with them. These courses proved a big success, so much so that she now runs an ever growing number throughout the year, not solely for vegetable and fruit growing but also more general gardening techniques. Julia also offers consultancy for clients who have inherited a vegetable garden and don’t know where to start or for those clients who wish to set up a vegetable garden and are unsure where to site it.

Julie Woodford – Madge and Ivy Flowers
While preparing to leave a long and fulfilling NHS nursing career, Julie completed the Floristry Fundamentals Masterclass with acclaimed florist Philippa Craddock. With a desire to continually expand her knowledge, she completed all the Masterclasses available and the renowned Floret online workshop for flower farmers. Inspired by the beauty of seasonal flowers and her grandmothers, both flower growers, Julie founded Madge & Ivy Flowers—a small business cultivating beautiful, homegrown flowers. Julie was awarded a floristry scholarship with the Ivy Institute, completed the career change course with Tallulah Rose Flower School, and has worked closely with esteemed florist and mentor Sarah Statham at Simply by Arrangement to grow her business.

Justin Kelly – How To Basically
Justin wanted to create a space to teach current and future generations simple, basic life skills which are mentally rewarding, better for the environment and save you money. Justin has developed his own self-taught skills over the years doing property maintenance and working for a mechanic’s garage. During this time, he started thinking about setting up How To Basically. In 2022 he took the plunge and left his job as a solicitor in the independent film industry to realise this idea. His aim is to have How To Basically workshops available to as many people as possible from all walks of life.

Katherine Nelson – Macrame
Katherine likes to pursue a range of creative activities, including painting, pottery, costume design, upholstery and seasonal wreath making, however, she finds macrame is by far the most versatile. The applications are almost endless; from traditional wall art and plant hangers, to the more adventurous and unusual clothing, jewellery, placemats and wedding or baby shower backdrops. She reminds us that creativity is about the journey towards your chosen destination and macrame is the most immersive and relaxing journey that anyone can enjoy!

Susie Lickman – Windowsill
Susie has been carefully watering houseplants since she was a small child. Four years ago she left a career as an advice worker & trainer in the Charity sector and launched a houseplant business, selling plants in markets and concessions and delivering talks to groups. Since then she has enjoyed applying her advice and training skills in a much calmer environment, helping customers find the right plant for their space and building confidence in their plant keeping abilities. Susie opened her first dedicated houseplant shop, Windowsill, in Market Harborough in November 2022.
