Ellie Vandenbrekel, Chesham’s very own milliner, will share the secrets of wirework and guide you through the process of creating your very own unique and beautiful beaded comb or set of pins.
Ellie has a wealth of experience in working with a wide range of millinery materials and techniques having worked in the industry for 15 years. Opening her studio 10 years ago, she creates bespoke hair pieces for races, weddings and special occasions.
With Christmas just around the corner, this is an excellent opportunity to create something beautiful to give as a gift or keep for yourself to wear to a festive party.
Over the course of the morning you will learn how to work with wire, incorporate beads and build the structure of your embellishment; how to secure this to your chosen fixing and how to finish the piece.
You will be able to choose to use either a comb or three pins in a choice of gold or silver to decorate with a variety of coloured crystals, glass pearls and seed beads.
All materials will be provided, including a box to take your finished masterpiece home
